The series exhibited this year also attest to that the grant recipients have created quality works by employing the diverse possibilities of photography.

Capa Center presents: FUTURES – European Photography Platform

Operating since 2017, the Futures platform aims to draw attention to Europe’s emerging photographers. Every year, 19 institutions connected to the professional network of Futures select approximately 120 emerging photographers who are nominated to join the platform. The professional curatorial network offered by the platform makes it possible for each selected ‘Futures talent’ to reach relevant professionals, players in the art market, and the general public in a broader sense. The project, co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme triggers new developments in the world of photography by expanding the opportunities for selected artists.
As part of the Art Photo Budapest section Capa Center presents the works of the FUTURES talents of 2023. In parallel, the international group exhibition titled ’ENERGY: Redistributing Power and Taming Consumption’, produced in collaboration with the platform, is on view in the Capa Center’s exhibition space in downtown Budapest.
