CAPA VISA – Visual Insights and Stories from Abroad. Join Tim Clark for a talk on the evolution of 1000 Words as well as his work as a curator on a number of other exhibition and book projects.


Within the framework of the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center’s program called CAPA VISA, leading foreign professionals in the field of contemporary art and photography – visiting Budapest for professional or private reasons – present their activities, research areas at the Capa Center. The aim of the program series is to create an opportunity for knowledge exchange between international and Hungarian photographers, artists, heads of institutions, curators, independent professionals, writers, and editors. CAPA VISA programs are held in English.

Tim Clark is Editor in Chief of 1000 Words and Artistic Director for Fotografia Europea in Reggio Emilia, Italy, together with Walter Guadagnini and Luce Lebart. He is also serving as Curatorial Advisor for the Discovery section of Photo London 2022 and 2023 and has previously been involved in a wide range of projects including Masculinities: Liberation through Photography (2020-22) at the Barbican Centre London, an exhibition which travelled to Gropius-Bau, Berlin, Les Rencontres d’Arles and FOMU Antwerp.
