Reality and Spirituality
Projection and artist discussion in the space of documentary photography.
A joint program of the Capa Center and the Korean Cultural Center in Budapest.
On 6 May 2016, the Korean Cultural Center presents the photo exhibition “Imaging Korea” at the Ferenc Hopp Museum of Asiatic Arts in Budapest. On the occasion of the exhibition, Capa Center kindly invites you to join an artist presentation and discussion at the institution’s Nagymező Street building.
What is common in the attitudes of a Far Eastern and a Central European documentary photographer? How does the visual language of this genre bridge 30 years of time? What does color or the lack of colors mean in such pictures? What is the role of spirituality in a photography series and what makes a photograph documentary?
