MOME Photography MA Diploma Exhibition 2026

It seems that we are continuously searching for a home, for a safe space—a place where we can find peace, connect with others, and feel at home within ourselves. Home can be both a physical place and an inner state: a space shaped by memories, relationships, objects, and identities.

The diploma projects of the 2026 graduating class of the MOME Photography MA programme explore the idea of home and its many layers. Through personal stories, family histories, generational memories, childhood experiences, and the search for identity, the works lead us through the inner and outer spaces we call home.

At the same time, the exhibition raises questions about leaving home and redefining what it means to belong. The desire to reconnect with nature and its treasures, the freedom to learn and discover, the legacy of history, dreams of the future, as well as chance encounters and unpredictable moments in life all open up new perspectives. Through these personal and collective experiences, photography becomes a tool for remembering, understanding, and reimagining the world around us.

For two years, the graduating students inhabited the spaces, classrooms, and community of the MOME Photography MA programme as a home of their own. Their diploma exhibition marks the end of this shared chapter, while also opening the door to a new one: stepping beyond a common space to find new places, stories, and perspectives of their own.
