Kosovo through the lens of KFOR – Photographs of the Hungarian KFOR Command
The exhibition is open between 1-13 October in the park of the Heroinat Memorial in Pristina.
On the 10th of October 2022, the one-year period of the first Hungarian KFOR command will end. For every KFOR commander, the priority task is to ensure a peaceful and secure environment and freedom of movement; a task which has been my precedent. In the course of our duties, many situations became memorable for all of us. The photographs you see here are the proof of how our professional and amateur photographers could capture Kosovo, the illustrious landscape, be it natural or man built, the lives of the soldiers and civilians serving in KFOR and the moments of our cooperation with you. Our aim with this exhibition is to provide a lasting image for the future of our momentous year, said moments captured by photography as the memory of our presence will slowly drift into history.
MGen Ferenc Kajári
Commander of KFOR (15 October 2021 – 10 October 2022)
Our Capital City is a city of contrasts, experiences and opportunities. It shines as an example of a thriving democracy in the Balkans. The people of Prishtina are grateful for the assistance of KFOR in the support of the development of a democratic and peaceful Kosovo, as well as contributing to a safer and more secure environment. We are delighted to be hosting the “Kosovo through the lens of KFOR” exhibition which will showcase the commands highlights and some of the most beautiful scenery of our country captured through the soldiers’ eyes.
Përparim Rama, Mayor of Prishtina
