MAGNUM PHOTOS’ WORKSHOP IN BUDAPEST
The Robert Capa Contemporary Photography center is glad to announce a partnership with Magnum Photos in producing an international workshop for professional photographers between May 28 and June 1, 2014 in Budapest, Hungary.
Organized in the heart of Central Europe for the first time ever, the workshop offers a unique opportunity for a limited group of applicants from all over the world to enhance their skills under the guidance of esteemed Magnum photographers. Led by Ian Berry and Chris Steele-Perkins, the 5-day Magnum Photos’ Workshop – Budapest includes practical training, theoretical reflections, as well as overall feedback on technique and style. Participants are selected by Magnum Photos. Ending in a wrap-party with a projection of work produced during the workshop, one selected artist will also be featured in British Journal of Photography.

Special scholarship program for Hungarian photographers
The Capa Center offers 5 scholarships to Hungarian photographers to participate at the Magnum Workshop. Scholars are selected through a Capa Portfolio Review by a professional committee of reviewers.

Please note that the Capa Center, together with the Hungarian House of Photography, Budapest will also host two Magnum Photos exhibitions, Contact Sheets and Magnum’s First, in the summer of 2014.
